Our charming riverside pub on Ferry Road in Hanham Mills, South Gloucestershire, is the perfect place to slow down and soak up the season. Nestled on the scenic banks of the River Avon, we offer a traditional British welcome and a cosy escape from the chill.
When the days grow shorter, there’s nothing better than warming up by the fire with a perfectly poured pint or tucking into a hearty Sunday roast. Our pub is a little haven for crisp countryside walks followed by comforting food, good company, and moments you’ll want to savour.

New Year's Eve
Get ready to ring in the New Year at The Chequers! Whether you’re joining us for dinner or popping in for cocktails, we’ll make sure your 2025 ends on a high. Enjoy our full à la carte menu alongside exclusive chef’s specials, crafted just for the night.
Shannon Kitchen (as seen on The Voice) will set the scene from 5:30–7:30 PM with live music – perfect for pre-dinner drinks or an early celebration.

If you’re joining us on a Thursday or Friday this December for your Christmas party we will be hosting live music covering all the Christmas classics to really get you in the festive spirit.
